We know money matters.
Monettech understands how important the budgeting
and financing of information technology and telephone services and
systems can be to an organization. Our staff realizes how helpful
it can be to remind companies that there are approaches to the finance
side of the technology equation that allows a company to use money's
more wisely.
Take advantage of
IRS Section 179 Expense Deductions
We are neither accountants nor lawyers, but we have worked with businesses
long enough to recommend they take advantage of the allowances available
to them. Most small and medium businesses are eligible to take advantages
of the IRS Section 179 Expense deduction. In 2002 this allowance is
$24,000 for capital expenditures, which includes computer and networking
equipment as well as other capital equipment. In 2003 and beyond this
deduction increases to $25,000. If your organization is a for profit
entity we encourage you to discuss the 179 Expense Deduction with
your accountant so you can understand how it might apply to your business.
For more information you can also refer to www.irs.gov
website. Enter "Section 179" (without quotes) in the search
window, and a number of documents explaining the deduction will be
made available to you. |
