Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency Structured Cabling Monettech field technicians installed fiber and copper premises wiring for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). This project involved networking voice and data cabling for a secure facility that included the cabling of Secure Compartmentalized Information Facilities (SCIFs). During the project we worked with the general contractor upgrading and expanding four existing SCIFs to include multi-media functionality and high quality single mode fiber optics. Monettech personnel also provided additional move, add and change work in fully operational secure areas. In order to qualify Monettech had to meet stringent security access requirements and worked with DARPA security officers to ensure that communications cabling in secured areas was done by appropriate personnel. Monettech also installed a voice and data structured cabling system for an additional three (SCIFs) in Alexandria Virginia. This scope of work included the installation of multimode fiber; category 5e twisted pair, and associated patch panels installed in 19” racks.
