Puerto Rico Federal Affairs Administration (PRFAA) Project management and Engineering PRFAA awarded Monettech a 1.2 Million dollar contract for renovation and upgrading of their network room and cabling infrastructure at one headquarters location and 12 regional offices located in major cities across the U.S. The project included management of several subcontracts: heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), electrical power and premise wiring, raised computer floor, as well as selection and staging of equipment. Specific tasks included installation of a roof mounted heat exchanger, a climate control system in the server-room, major upgrade of the electrical facilities for the NOC, raised flooring system, core drilling to tie into the building’s primary electrical grid, and copper and fiber premise wiring on two floors of the building. Over 15 Monettech personnel and five separate contractors were assigned to this contract that provided four racks of Compaq servers, robotic tape backup arrays, routers, hubs and switches, as well as other information technology infrastructure. To complete this complex project Monettech designed a wide area network and configured it to provided connectivity between all regional locations and their headquarters.
